Before you write
Will my data end up with OpenAI or another cloud?
Only if we agree it should. I design solutions so that sensitive data is handled by a model on your infrastructure and the cloud receives only what it needs.
I run a small business. Is this overkill?
The process scales with the project. For a simple website the requirements stage is one call and one page of text. The point is that we both know what is being built.
What if I want to switch contractors one day?
You get the documentation and access to the code and accounts. I choose open tools so the system can be developed without me.
